Accessibility statement for Drive in a Clean Air Zone

This accessibility statement explains how accessible this service is, what to do if you have difficulty using it, and how to report accessibility problems with the service.

This service is part of the wider GOV.UK website. There is a separate accessibility statement for the main GOV.UK website.

This page only contains information about the Drive in a Clean Air Zone service.

Using this service

The Drive in a Clean Air Zone service allows users to check if their vehicle meets emissions standards and, if not, pay the charge liable in each Clean Air Zone (CAZ). Payment is made through GOV Pay, which has a separate accessibility statement.

There is a British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service to help communicate or pay a charge if you're on a computer. Find out how to use the service on mobile or tablet.

This service is operated by the Joint Air Quality Unit (JAQU), a team established jointly between the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Department for Transport (DfT). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service.

This means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

  • get from the start of the service to the end using just a keyboard

  • get from the start of the service to the end using speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
